Vegas Golden Knights broker a draft day trade parting ways with Logan Thompson
The Vegas Golden Knights have made a move to acquire future draft capital by parting ways with goaltender Logan Thompson for future draft picks.
It was just announced that the Vegas Golden Knights have traded away Logan Thompson to the Washington Capitals.
The Washington Capitals have acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally from the NY Islanders) and Washington's own third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
The Golden Knights have acquired a 2024 3rd round pick and a 2025 3rd round pick from the Washington Capitals in exchange for goalie Logan Thompson.
The Capitals now have a player they can partner with Charlie Lindgren. Thompson previously earned all-star nods for his efforts with the Golden Knights in 2022-23.
The Golden Knights now get two third round picks that they can use in the future.
