At this point of the season, the Toronto Maple Leafs must start thinking about what can be done to finally have success in the playoffs.
Even though they finally got past the first round two years ago, they want more. They want to reach nothing less than the Stanley Cup Finals.
General Manager Brad Treliving already started thinking about his options to make his team better by the trade deadline on March 7th and seems to be eyeing a center on the market.
In recent weeks, many players have been linked to the team. Recently, Paul Bissonnette threw his hat in the ring with another prediction.
The Spittin' Chiclets co-host and TNT analyst revealed in a recent interview on The Leafs Nation that Treliving should go after Scott Laughton on the trade market.
Laughton is a 30-year-old veteran drafted 20th overall in 2012 by the Flyers. Since then, he played 634 games in Philadelphia, scoring 254 points in his career.
While we've seen higher point tallies, Laughton shines with his great leadership.
In simple words, you need guys like him in the team to win in the playoffs, making him an obvious target for the Maple Leafs.
According to Bissonnette, what makes him an interesting target is that he's a tough opponent, he only makes $3 million a year until the end of the next season, and that he while he may not be a flashy player, he gets the job done.

The Leafs would need to send something valuable in return, but acquiring Laughton could be a game-changing decision for Treliving's team.
