Despite his team's loss, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe Trophy but made a statement by not participating in the ceremony, a move seen as a snub towards Gary Bettman.

Earlier tonight, the Florida Panthers were named the 2024 Stanley Cup Champions.
After the game, it was revealed that Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe Trophy despite his team's loss. However, McDavid opted not to participate in the trophy presentation.
