The situation involving J.T. Miller in Vancouver could get ugly in the coming months, and now Sean Avery has suggested a major trade to send him back to New York.

Over the past few months, few teams in the NHL have been in the news more than the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers, who are both dealing with issues in their locker room.

However, the Canucks have managed to stay alive in the Pacific Division race unlike New York who are falling apart, but that hasn't stopped reporters speculating that the team could indeed look to trade veteran J.T. Miller after the recent issues with Elias Pettersson.

Now, former New York Rangers Sean Avery has suggested a trade that he believes could help both teams, with the former enforcer proposing a deal that would send Miller back to New York.

He's a superstar. J.T. Miller is a big player. Reminds me of Rod Brind'Amour but a little bit different. He's got a little Primeau brothers in him, I love him. But, sweeten the pot, and don't wait too long.

It's the perfect situation; you have an opportunity. West Coast team, make the move. I would give them (Filip) Chytil and I would give them K'Andre Miller. Aren't those two enough?

Avery seemingly believes that a move to land Miller would cost New York young forward Filip Chytil and K'Andre Miller, and while the framework is there for a deal, it would likely need to involve at least another piece or two.

With both teams needing a reset, they do make perfect trade partners, and whether or not a deal ever gets done, sending Miller back to New York for solid depth in Vancouver wouldn't be a bad move as both teams look to spark their 2024/25 season.
