A new sponsor will appear on the Vancouver Canucks' jerseys for the upcoming season
The Vancouver Canucks have made an exciting announcement ahead of the 2024-25 NHL season. For the first time ever, the Vancouver Canucks have named an official sponsor for their away jerseys.
The team revealed on Thursday that its first-ever away jersey sponsor will be Clio, a legal tech startup with its headquarters in Vancouver.
Canucks Sports & Entertainment president Michael Doyle expressed his excitement by saying;
«We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Clio as our inaugural away jersey sponsor,» said Michael Doyle, President, Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations. «This new partnership brings the Canucks together with a dynamic Vancouver-based company, long celebrated as one of Canada's Top Employers, and recently named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list. We are so proud to partner with an organization that is deeply committed to innovation and dedicated to giving back to the community. This is an exciting time for both Canucks Sports & Entertainment and Clio.»
This collaboration continues the growing trend of sponsorship integration in NHL uniforms, which was started with the Canucks' home jerseys receiving a TD Bank Group patch.
With this new contract, the industry leader in legal technology and one of Canada's top sports organizations come together. Clio is dedicated to developing client-centered, cloud-based technology that will revolutionize the legal experience for everybody.
Fan reactions to the new sponsorship patch
Fans' opinions on Clio's new logo have been divided on the internet. On sites like X, some people voiced their displeasure, while others praised the logo's color scheme for its flawless integration that complements the jersey's style.
The Canucks will kick off their 2024-25 campaign at home against the Calgary Flames on October 9 despite the differing opinions.
