Two Boston Bruins forwards emerged as top trade targets, according to the renowned insider Elliotte Friedman.
The Bruins' disappointing season start forced him to fire Montgomery. And even if players took accountability, they'll need to turn their season around if they don't want to go through a wave of changes.

With all the rumors going around, it's hard to keep track of who could be traded, leaving many people to believe no players are safe.
According to Elliotte Friedman, two other players could be identified as trade assets.
"It's not a surprise, but we're already hearing that forwards with «an edge» will be coveted by contenders.
So, when the Bruins are being scouted, that's Trent Frederic. Obviously, his as-yet-undetermined contract status looms large.
There was some Morgan Geekie talk, but that may have been when he was out of the lineup.
Teams generally understand that if someone in the final season of his contract is not in their plans, they should find that player another situation."
Frederic and Geekie both struggled this season and should feel called out when Sweeney and Joe Sacco, the new interim head coach, say that some players are performing underwhelmingly.
Geekie was limited to 16 games this season and scored only one goal and three assists.
As for Frederic, he tallied six points, including three goals through 21 games.
If they end up on the block, they're likely to generate interest from some teams, especially considering their values aren't at an all-time high.
It'll be interesting to see what Sweeney decides to do in the coming months leading to the March 7th trade deadline.
Stay tuned for all the latest developments.
